Self Portrait – Pine Street Mural, Philadelphia Pa

About
I am a Philadelphia-based photographer whose work explores the interplay of perspective, light, and shadow in everyday moments. At the age of twelve, I saved my paper-route money for over a year to purchase a 35mm film camera, despite being nearly blind in my right eye. This early experience not only shaped my vision but also influenced my unique approach to photography.
I graduated from the photography program at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and began my career as a still photographer before transitioning into creative leadership roles. Recently, I have returned to begin focusing on fine art projects and commissioned works. My images have been exhibited in several art shows in Philadelphia, and I was recently commissioned to create four large-scale black-and-white photographs for the historic Wanamaker Carriage House.
I print each of my photographs, carefully selecting fine art paper that enhances the image's depth, texture, and tonal range. I see the photographic negative—film or digital—as the foundation only fully realized in the final print. My prints are interpretations of my vision that are shaped by choices in tonality, contrast, and detail. Through this process, I aim to create prints that invite deeper engagement, encouraging an appreciation of how the composition and light transform the familiar into something unexpected.
